For the perfect summer holiday, head to Mallorca. For the perfect place to stay, head to luxury motor yacht Samaric, available for charter from Palma.

Sun, sea, and delicious Mediterranean food – Mallorca has it all. With temperatures reaching over 30 degrees during the summer, you will certainly appreciate being on board Samaric with her full reverse-cycle air conditioning to keep you cool as you sail around the crystal clear waters.

On shore, there is plenty to see on the Island this summer. Don’t miss the Nit de Foc – Night of Fire – on the 23rd June, one of the biggest parties in Palma, with the main action taking place in the Parc de Mar by the cathedral. It includes street parties, bonfires, fireworks, pop concerts, devils and demons and the infamous correfoc - the fire run, where devils run through the streets with firecrackers and fireworks. Make sure to bring your dancing shoes as it is one hell of a party!

For some daytime action, head to the Carmen Fiesta in Cala Bona from 13th to 16th July. This fishermen’s fiesta has a week of festivities with a craft fair, music and dancing until late in the evening, games and activities for all the family, and a fireworks display.

When you’ve done all the dancing and celebrating you can manage, you can retire to your very own motor yacht.

All four double cabins featurestylish granite or marble en suites, with Egyptian cotton monogrammed bed linen, duck or goose down pillows and the highest-quality bath towels.

There’s also a fully-equipped galley with separate dining area, and a luxury saloon with leather sofas, a 40” flat-screen TV and bar area.

Outside, the Aft Cockpit is a spacious area for al fresco dining and entertaining while the Flybridge has sun loungers, a gas barbeque, fridge and wet bar, and the Foredeck is perfect for serious sunbathing. When you’ve had enough of relaxing, there’s a Seadoo jet ski and a Williams 325 turbojet tender for some serious action.

So make the most of summer on board the luxury motor yacht Samaric.

Shipshape Celebration - June 2012

If you're looking to treat the one you love to a really special break, then a long weekend sailing the waters around the Balearic Islands on the luxury motor yacht Samaric should fit the bill.

With four double cabins, Samaric can accommodate a maximum of eight guests sleeping on board in two doubles and two twins – not that Richard King and wife Alex needed all that space.

richard4Says Richard: "I wanted to take Alex away for our first wedding anniversary and I wanted it to be something very different. She works for a large hotel group so staying in a hotel was a bit like a busman's holiday for her."

Moored in Palma, Mallorca, Samaric was the perfect solution. Rather like a luxury floating villa, she offers everything you need for a romantic break, from the privacy of the open seas to the freedom to choose where you go – and when.

Both double cabins feature king-size beds and all four cabins have stylish granite or marble en suites, full reverse cycle air conditioning, satellite TV and DVD/CD/iPod plug-in player. Egyptian cotton monogrammed bed linen, duck or goose down pillows and the highest-quality bath towels add the finishing touch.

"I kept the trip as a complete surprise to Alex," says Richard, "and she was absolutely thrilled when she saw Samaric. She's a pretty impressive yacht, both inside and out. There's so much space, too – from the saloon, which has leather sofas and a 40" satellite TV with surround sound to my favourite spot, the Flybridge, a fantastic area with sun loungers, a gas barbecue, fridge and wet bar – not forgetting the all-important music system and mood lighting."

Richard chose to have an onboard chef so he and Alex had nothing to do but relax and enjoy their romantic cruise. With the skipper's help, he had also created an itinerary that took in some of the Islands' prettiest villages and stretches of coastline.

"You can't get much more romantic than enjoying a delicious meal of freshly-caught fish and crystal glasses of champagne under the full moon, listening to the lapping of the waves against the side of the yacht," says Richard.

photo2"It was everything I hoped it would be – and so much more. Alex loved every minute. The only problem is, however am I going to top this for our second anniversary!"

Girls at sea

When Carrie Martin was offered the job of a lifetime in New York, she wanted togirls at sea motor charter say goodbye to her best friends in style. She certainly did, on board the luxury motor yacht Samaric!

Says Carrie: "As I was going to be in America for at least two years, rather than throwing a farewell party I wanted to take my four best girlfriends for a long weekend somewhere sunny and special, a bit out of the ordinary. I looked at all sorts of hotels and country houses and then came across Samaric. I knew instantly that she was what I'd been searching for."

Carrie flew her friends to Palma, Majorca, where they boarded Samaric for four days of fun in the sun.

"Samaric was like a luxury floating hotel," says Carrie. "We even had our own chef!"

Egyptian cotton monogrammed bed linen, duck or goose down pillows and the highest-quality bath towels add the finishing touch.

"During the day we relaxed on the various sundecks or swam in the sea," says Carrie. "We could have chosen our own itinerary but I let the skipper decide for us. We visited some beautiful, isolated sandy coves as well as fishing villages and larger towns where we went ashore to explore.

"We ate under the stars – there's even a barbecue on board – and listened to music, courtesy of the onboard music system, with no-one around to disturb except the fish. It was pure heaven and an experience I'll never forget! In fact, my friends loved it so much, they want us to do it all again when I get back to the UK!"
